TELESPHOROS II by Elisabetta Caizzi Marini
The series of 3 sculptures being exhibited by Elisabetta Caizzi Marini is based on the idea of presenting a choice to the viewer. By revealing aspects of nature, the observer is challenged to make a decision - to either embrace the contemporary state of war and pain, which stems from the most primitive origins and follows the Hegelian view of history, or to transcend this condition.
Elisabetta Caizzi Marini’s process triggered thanks to the learning of engraving techniques, through which she discovered the essence of pictorial production. Thus a constant dialogue is formed between painting, engraving and sculpture where heterogeneous works are part of a single vision, aimed at investigating the relationship between the raw current events of the world and the search for an image of the absolute. She currently lives and works in bologna.
