MATTEO MELOTTO
Matteo Melotto's practice focuses on the dichotomy between neonomadism and posthumanism: an innovative metaphysical inquiry where technology and spirituality converge to elevate both the technical and spiritual aspects of humanity.
His works represent multimedia encounters between archaic elements, such as rites of passage, proto-architectures, mythological narratives, sacred iconographies, and hyper-contemporary languages, including generative projections, 3D modeling, noise music, artificial intelligency.
.
The concept of nomadism, derived from the artist's personal experience, is explored in relation to its archetypal counterpart, in an ongoing quest for social and spiritual meaning. Melotto's art is, first and foremost, a necessity of personal psychological analysis, a complex psychomagical and symbolic universe that translates into various themes: the pursuit of contact with nature and interiority, the relationship between technology and rituality, the circularity of time, the relationship between life, death, and artistic experience.
The artist's aim is to reinterpret reality through an alchemical process capable of transforming pain into beauty, value, and innovative awareness.
Melotto has two solo exhibitions to his credit and numerous projects and performances showcased in various cities, including Turin, Milan, Rome, Bari, Bern, Belgrade, and Miami. The artist has publications in industry magazines such as Renowned Magazine, XinSai Magazine, Hestetika, and Artribune, as well as international collaborations including Alexander Rosskopf, AEREA, and Rick Owens.
