ISAC ELAM KAID

Isac Elam Kaid grew up on the Canadian Prairies, surrounded by the solitary natural world. This relationship and ongoing study of nature is a grounding source of inspiration. His practice is based on the exploration of material, source and process in order to create an ongoing dialogue of meaningful work. The dialogical relationship, between experimentation and matter, seeks answers through form, inherent material value and means of process. Prior to establishing his independent practice, he worked as an Architectural Designer, consulting with commercial developers and private residential clients. Since beginning his practice in 2019 his work has been exhibited and published internationally.

Between experimentation and matter

Isac Elam Kaid's practice embodies a philosophical approach to art and design that emphasizes the importance of exploring the materiality of objects and the process of creation. His work is a manifestation of his belief that the physical world offers a rich source of inspiration that can be harnessed to create meaningful, thought-provoking pieces.

Through his exploration of form, materiality, and process, the artist work offers us a deeper understanding of the fundamental nature of creativity and the role that it plays in shaping our world. His approach challenges us to think more deeply about the objects that surround us, and to consider how they can be imbued with meaning and significance through careful attention to the process of their creation. In this way, Kaid's work serves as a powerful reminder of the profound beauty and complexity of the physical world and the role that we can play in shaping it through our own creative endeavors.
