Deceres is a Los Angeles-based studio that reinterprets sacred and minimalist designs into accessible objects for daily rituals. With monolithic shapes, sharp lines, and narrow voids, the work channels religiosity through a lens of reductionism, celebrating the contrast between rigid structures and delicate humanity.

Founded in 2020 by Denise Martinez and Jorge Arturo Ibarra, both with origins in Baja, the studio emerged after a decade-long meeting of their paths in Southern California. The duality of their experiences between these two worlds deeply influences their design philosophy, as well as the tangible expressions of their own inner reflections.

Minimal in their design approach, Deceres places great importance on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a deep respect for the process. Their work is characterized by extreme humility, focusing on creating pieces that serve a purpose while remaining unobtrusive. Working closely with artisans in Mexico and California, each Deceres piece is meticulously handcrafted to emphasize its individuality.
